Trampoline Training For Figure Skaters, Part 1 (Kori Ade, Vincent Restencourt)

In this video, we get to see some off-ice training exercises for figure skaters at an indoor trampoline park. This video shows skaters of varying levels who were training at the time with World and Olympic coach Kori Ade. Coach Vincent Restencourt is leading the exercises, and some of the skaters involved include Jason Brown, Jordan Moeller, and Mariah Bell. Trampoline exercises can be used to train quickness as well as balance and body awareness, all without causing too much impact stress on joints and connective tissue.

The exercises shown in the video include jogging (warm-up), solo sprints, knee-up steps for quickness, sideways crossover steps for hip mobility (both directions), hops with rhythmic tapping, side to side bounding, one-leg forward hops (both legs, start with left), half-axels, sprint races with balance start, and sprinting with arms over head. Notice that the skaters are clearly enjoying this training.
